Kudos from Financial Times/ FDI

IMPZ featured prominently in Financial Times' Foreign Direct Investment Magazine’s 'Middle East Special Economic Zones Rankings' for 2006/7. This is one of the most authoritative research projects and free zone comparisons undertaken in the Middle East to date.

Despite being a relatively new entrant, IMPZ appeared at No. 3 in the 'Specialist Free Zones' category, and also came in at No. 15 in the 'Overall' rankings.

Over 90 Special Economic Zones in the Middle East sent in applications for the rankings, all of which were analyzed by the Financial Times Business’ research team. Results were broken down into five distinct categories - Airport, General/Industrial, Port, Science/Hi-Tech and Specialist.  Judges also tallied points in the individual categories based on a wide range of criteria to finalize the overall Middle East Special Economic Zone ranking which details the top zones in the region.
